Similarly, the W7's 12.1" XGA TFT is larger than any similarly equipped rival. And, the 19mm keypitch keyboard (same as the Panasonic T7) gives these two computers the largest keyboard in the sub-3 pound space. The W7 even has a fanless design for serene computing.

Unfortunately, life is not always serene, so the Panasonic W7 is durable as well. It withstood 100kg (220 pounds) of weight, as well as a 30cm (11.8 inch) drop, in Panasonic's lab tests. While this is by no means a guarantee that it will always do so, strength is a good trait in an ultraportable notebook. The 320gb (max) hard drive is also shock-insulated.
