Founded in 1997, we bring next-generation technology to customers, with an emphasis on expertise and white-glove service. Showrooms in Chicago, Detroit, Tokyo, and Seoul.
The leading national supplier of Desktop 3D printers. Expertise in both Industrial and Desktop 3D printing. Supplier of next-generation Metal, SLS, ultrafast Industrial printers.
APSX-PIM is an alternative to the traditionally expensive, oversize injection molding machines used for production, R&D, prototyping, product design, education, research, and plastic part production. The APSX-PIM V3 is a full automatic heavy-duty desktop injection molding machine — made entirely in Cincinnati, OH USA. CE compliant.
4 ft × 1 ft machine footprint fits any workbench or lab environment. Only requires a standard 115VAC (US) or 230VAC (EU) wall outlet — no water cooling, no hydraulics.
Precision sensors enable continuous automatic cycling with ejection. Delay time control between cycles, injection speed control, and configurable multi-zone temperature control.
User touch screen for full operational control with live injection pressure and volume vs. time chart. Auto heat-off after 5 minutes of inactivity protects barrel and material.
Stainless steel barrel, case-hardened steel plunger with hard chrome plating, and hard anodized aluminum parts — industrial build quality at a fraction of the operating cost.
Industrial-grade precision and repeatability that most benchtop injectors cannot offer — ideal for process development, short production runs, and consistent prototyping.
Accepts 3D printed insert molds via the APSX MUD Base — enabling rapid tooling iteration with Formlabs Rigid 10K or ALTANA dissolvable resin inserts, without metal machining.

APSX-PIM V3 machine — complete injection molding unit with stainless steel barrel and hard chrome plunger
Test mold — pre-installed so you can run a shot immediately out of the crate
Touch screen controller — with live injection performance chart display
Power cable — standard 115VAC connection (USA), standard wall outlet only
The APSX-PIM V3 is designed for a short learning curve. Reference the APSX process guides and APSX video tutorial series for detailed walkthroughs.
Unbox & Set Up
Place on any workbench, plug into a standard wall outlet. Mold installation ~15 min. First part within 30 minutes of unboxing.
Load Material
Fill hopper with plastic pellets. Set barrel temperature zones via touch screen. Auto heat-off protects material between sessions.
Install Mold
Mount aluminum mold or 3D printed insert set in the MUD Base. Set injection speed, delay time, and single or multi-cycle mode.
Run & Iterate
Machine cycles automatically. Monitor live pressure/volume chart. Adjust parameters and swap mold inserts to iterate rapidly.
Product Development Teams — prototype and validate molded parts before committing to steel tooling
